One innovation developed by John Laing and Sons in 1919, was the production of homes built from casting concrete on site. This became known as ‘Easiform’ in 1924 when it was exhibited at the Palace of Housing at the Wembley British Empire Exhibition. The firm continued to use and improve upon their 'Easiform' methods after the Second World War.
