Description

The sheet is a hand-tinted copy including a reduced copy of an earlier sheet from this series (MP/POT0003). It shows a plan of the ground-floor at 1/20 inch to one foot scale, numbered and with a corresponding key of explanatory information. There is a small plan of the upper-floor with a detail of an inscription found in a closet. There are inset four sections A-B, C-D, E-F and G-H through the castle, a location map showing the Isle of Portland at one inch to four 1/4 mile scale, and a paragraph outlining a brief history of the purpose of the castle. At the top of the sheet there are two perspective landscape views of the castle as seen from the north and south.
