Description

During World War One, Portland Castle served as part of a Naval base, seeing the castle specifically used for the manufacture and testing of torpedoes. This plan may relate to conversion works at the site. Notes on the sheet state that the buildings coloured in blue belong to Schedule B, buildings in yellow to Schedule C.

The sheet is marked 'Office Copy' and 'correct'. Annotations in pencil relate to works carried out in the 1920s.
