Description

The print is from a file entitled 'Planning Development (changes involved) 1958-1959', in the archive collection of the Central Office of Information.

The model shown was built by the Hydraulics Research Station at their headquarters in Wallingford, and was used to predict the effect of reclamation on tidal levels and changes in the hydraulic characteristics of estuaries and channels close to Maplin.
