Series: Registers of photographs

Description

Six bound copies of Henry Taunt's indices of photographs covering his number range HWT00001 to HWT19695. They were copied from three volumes held by Oxfordshire County Libraries: volume A1 divided into NMR volumes 1-3, volume A2 becomes NMR volume 4 and 5, and Volume A3 becomes NMR volume 6.

The entries take the format of a three column ledger recording the negative number, site details, and size of the negative. An additional column on the opposing page has been used for comments and occasionally to record dates; it was used by the NMR to cross-reference the negatives in its custody. The registers are more or less chronological and cover the period pre1870 to 1922; numbers before HWT03124 are apparently before c1874.
