- Laing works between 1951 and 1959, mostly in the Carlisle area, including: Carlisle Technical College; Harraby Inn estate, Carlisle; Longtown gravel works; the Duke of Westminster's estate in Pale, Wales; Carlisle Court Houses; Blackwell and Brisco brickworks; Carr and Co's bakery; Laing's office in Carlisle; Ambleside church; Workington Reservoir; Lakeland Laundry Chimney, Harraby; Carlisle power station; Maryport secondary school; Princes Square, Glasgow; and the District Bank in Carlisle; - staff events between 1952 and 1955, including staff outings to Southport and Whitley Bay; the 1953 Children's Christmas Party; the 1954 Pensioners' Outing; various retirement and farewell dinners; and attendees at a film night in Carlisle; - attendees at official events relating to Laing building works, including: the openings of an estate in Accrington in 1947, Harraby AP Bungalows in December 1953, New Brewery in Carlisle and Carlisle Technical College in 1954, Harraby School in 1955 and Carlisle Technical College extension and Millom School in 1959; the openings of the 7000th house in Carlisle in 1952 and the 1000th house in Whitehaven in 1954; the laying of the foundation stones for Harraby church, Maryport and St Bees Schools in 1953, and Carlisle TA centre and Whitehaven FE College in 1954.
