Description

Box of three albums containing 330 prints, which show:

- album 1: the construction of Banias boat harbour in Syria, 1951-53; - album 2: various Laing projects in the 1920s, including: Smith's Dock, Teeside; a Tees shipyard; a Damflask Balancing Tank in Sheffield; the Bank of England building in Newcastle upon Tyne; Durham riverside; Stockton Corporation Quay; and Bridlington Harbour wharf; with two loose sets of mid-20th century prints showing mobile site buildings and company lorries; - album 3: a retirement presentation and dinner in the Grand Hotel, Bristol; other presentation dinners; and a portrait of Sir John Laing at Coventry Cathedral.
