Description

Box of 40 packets containing:

- prints showing various 1920s Easiform developments, including Sentinel Village, Gosport, Eltham, Wrexham, Cubley, Hayes, Hereford, Telford, Bridgend and other unidentified sites, and material relating to the record-breaking construction of two Easiform houses in Port Talbot in 1921; - the construction of the Federation of British Industry HQ on Tothill Street, London, 1930; - the control tower of Thorpe Abbotts airfield re-opening in 1983; - house interiors from 1963; - the Laing show house at an exhibition in 1936; - a newly-completed state management public house from circa 1920; - a 1969 housing development, probably in south Wales; - photographs and copies of drawings of buildings on the Manor Fields estate, Putney, from around 1932; - workers preparing a site in Manchester, circa 1970; - a print commemorating the 80th birthdays of John Laing and J Fenwick Adams in 1959; - copies of 1930s drawings of historic sites in India; - an ink drawing of the Hagia Sophia mosque in Istanbul.
