Bishopstone Railway Station, Lewes, East Sussex

This station was built in 1936 to provide transport for a new housing estate. In 1940, two pillboxes (machine gun posts) were added to the upper floor.

Built in 1936 this house is derived from the Sunspan design, first exhibited at the 1934 Ideal Home Exhibition. The design was intended for builders as an alternative to the usual traditional design of house.
