Church of St Lawrence, Stockport Road, Denton, Greater Manchester

This timber framed church was built as a chapel of ease around 1530-1. It was originally dedicated to St James. It was restored in 1816, 1839 and 1862 . It was then substantially enlarged in 1872 when a chancel and transepts were added in Mock Tudor style.
