Craddock Moor Mine, St Cleer, Cornwall
This pair of chimneys are the remains of Craddock Moor Mine. Craddock Moor Mine was a small copper mine started in 1844. A new company took over in 1854 and installed a small 16 inch engine. By 1862, the mine was 100 fathoms deep and at about the peak of its prosperity. Working had stopped by 1873, when the machinery was advertised for sale. It reopened briefly between 1907 and 1913 but Craddock Moor Mine was finished.
