Crispe Almshouses, Marshfield, South Gloucestershire

This row of 8 almshouses were built in 1612-1619. They were built by Nicholas and Ellis Crispe, both of whom were wealthy London merchants. They are a very good example of 17th century almshouses. They also occupy a very important position as the first building in the village street.
