Dagenham Infant's School, Dagenham, Greater London
This school was built for the Dagenham School Board in 1895. The engraving was published in a publication called The Building News in June 1896. It shows the front facade of the school and a plan of its interior. All three classrooms were Gallery Classrooms. These had a series of broad steps where the desks stood or, in some schools, where the children stood up for lessons. Look at the interior of the school at Port Sunlight to see how the classroom might have been arranged.
