Devon County Library, Great Torrington, Devon
The Devon County Library, Great Torrington, is in the former Market House. It was built in 1842, with a pediment crowning the facade and pilasters in the Ionic style between arched windows on the first floor; the gateway below lead through to the market stalls. Seen here from beneath the Town Hall, it looks down the High Street.
