Finsbury Road Board School, Finsbury Road, Brighton, Brighton and Hove
Finsbury Road Board School was built in 1881 in Arts and Crafts style. Board schools were built all over England after the Education Act of 1870 was passed. This allowed Local Boards of Education to be set up to build and run schools. It later became part of Brighton Polytechnic.
