Former Everard's Printing Works, 38 Broad Street, Bristol
The printing works was built in 1900-1 for Edward Everard. The works behind were demolished around 1970 leaving only the facade with new offices behind. The facade was designed by WJ Neatby, Chief Designer for Doulton and Co. The building is an important early example of the use of glazed tiling. It shows the Arts and Crafts idea that it is possible to combine art and industry. This is the largest decorative facade of its kind in Britain.
