Former Legat's School of Ballet, Catt's Hill, Rotherfield, East Sussex

The school was originally built in 1865-6 to be a girls orphanage. E. W. Pugin was the architect of this gothic building and designed the orphanage for 120 girls. It was built as one of a pair with a boys' orphanage of the same date. The orphanage was run by the Society of the Holy Child Jesus until c1924. This community of religious women also lived in the building. It later became St Joseph's Junior Seminary (1925–1970), after which it was a Ballet school and then a Muslim school.
