Handel Cossham Memorial Hospital, Lodge Road, Fishponds, Bristol
Cossham Hospital was built in 1905. It is a memorial to the late Handel Cossham. He was a former MP for Bristol and Mayor of Bath who died in 1890. He owned several coal mines. He left instructions for his money to be used for the building of a hospital for the working people of East Bristol and South Gloucestershire. They were largely miner's families.
