Hinchingbrooke House, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire
The site of this house's origins are as an 11th century Augustinian nunnery. This nunnery was suppressed in 1538 and between then and 1627, the site was largely rebuilt and extended. It was passed on to Thomas Cromwell, a minister for the King. It subsequently passed on to the Earls of Sandwich. Since 1970 this house has become part of Hinchingbrooke School, housing the sixth form.
