Main Street, Hawkshead, Cumbria

Looking south along Main Street, from just north of the junction with Flag Street. The house on the right is called Thimble Hall and dates from the 17th century. It has a jettied top floor which was built with a timber frame. The cottage was given to the National Trust by Beatrix Potter.
