Market Tower, High Street, Lewes, East Sussex

This market tower was built in 1792 in red and brown brick. The Town Bell 'Gabriel' originally hung in the tower of the old Church of St Nicholas, which stood on the site of the war memorial. It was removed on the demolition of the church in 1761 and placed in the new tower in 1792.
