Martello Tower, St Osyth, Essex

This tower was built between 1808 and 1812. It was built to defend coastal towns from the Napoelonic forces. It has recently been used as an Asian restaurant and now has a cafe addition. Its sister tower at Point Clear in Essex has been reconstructed into a war museum.
