Miners' Hostel, Fitzwilliam Street, Elsecar, South Yorkshire

The Elsecar hostel provided accommodation for 22 single men. Opened in 1853 each lodger had their own room, an unusual feature for the time. The hostel also boasted the first bath and hot water geyser in the model community of Elsecar.
