Neolithic (New Stone Age) Settlement at Durrington Walls, nr Stonehenge, Wiltshire

This reconstruction drawing shows the Neolithic settlement at Durrington Walls as it might have looked in 2500BC. It is a few miles from Stonehenge and it is believed to be where the people who built Stonehenge lived. It is made up of small squarish huts for people to live in and oval pens/enclosures for animals to be kept in. In the centre is Woodhenge. The drawing is based on archaeological excavations.
