Old Dee Bridge, Handbridge, Cheshire
This road bridge stands over the River Dee. It was originally built in the late 14th century. It was widened in 1826 to include a footpath. The present bridge replaced earlier medieval and Saxon bridges. These were probably wooden. It is believed to stand on the site of a Roman bridge.
