Paragon Station and Station Hotel, Kingston Upon Hull
Paragon railway station on the Hull and Selby Railway was designed by G T Andrews in Italianate style and opened in 1846. It was extended to the designs of William Bell between 1903 and 1904. To the South-West is a separate platform and L shaped building which served immigrants travelling from Europe to America via Liverpool; it was known as the Immigrant Station. The hotel next to the station was built in 1849 and was also designed by G T Andrews. It was restored in 1990-92 after serious fire damage. Queen Victoria stayed at the hotel in 1854.
