Ruislip Almshouses, Ruislip, Greater London
Ruislip Almshouses stand in Eastcote Road on the north side of the churchyard. The old timber framed parish house, built in 1570, was converted into 'church houses' in 1616. There were 10, two roomed, back to back houses - 5 on each side of the building. They provided cheap or free dwellings for poor families in the 18th century.
