Schomberg House, Pall Mall, Westminster, Greater London

Schomberg House is a 17th century town mansion, one of only a few such buildings to survive. It was built in 1698 for the Duke of Schomberg whose father came over with William III. It has 4 floors and a basement. It was built from brown brick with red brick dressings and stone quoins (corner stones) with a slate roof. Thomas Gainsborough, the artist lived here.
