Science Buildings, University of Liverpool, Merseyside
This range of buildings dates from 1899 - 4. It was designed by Alfred Waterhouse (his last recorded work) and completed by his son Paul Waterhouse. There are three principal sections: the Physics and Biochemistry blocks; the Thompson Yates Laboratories (Physiology and Pathology); and the Anatomy Building. It runs parallel to the Victoria Buildings, forming the north side of a quadrangle. The former Medical Museum is at the rear. It is part of the original site of the University that was formed in 1881 and is one of the 'red brick' universities.
