Seacombe Ferry Terminal, Wallasey, Merseyside
This building was designed by L St George Wilkinson and built between 1930 and 1933. It was a ferry and omnibus (horse-drawn bus) terminus. It is built in a simplified classical style around a courtyard. From here transatlantic and other ferries would leave. It is also important as the first commercial shore-based Radar station in the world for the navigation of ships. The radar station was installed in 1947.
