Sexey's Hospital East Wing, Bruton, Somerset

This building is the rebuilding of one part of an earlier hospital (almshouse). It was built in the early 1800s. In 1882 it was extended to add a training school for domestic servants. The original almshouse, to which it is attached, was founded in 1638. Hugh Sexey was an auditor to Queen Elizabeth I and James I.
