Smethwick new Pumping House, Smethwick, West Midlands

This pumping house replaced two earlier pumping stations on the Engine Arm of the Birmingham Canal. It was built in 1892. It was the last to be built on this section of the canal. The pumps capable of lifting 200 locks per day.
