Stony Hazel Forge, Rusland, Cumbria

Stony Hazel Forge was built on the east bank of Force Beck soon after October 1718, making it the latest bloomforge in Furness. A plan and section of the forge building show how water wheels powered the hammer (north) and bellows (south). A second building served as a store and office, and a house also formed part of the complex.
