The Almshouses, Northumberland Avenue, Kingston Upon Hull
These almshouses date from 1884-87. They were designed by Smith & Brodrick for the Hull Charity Trustees. They were relocated to this new site from the centre of the town. They are an amalgamation of 4 older almshouses belonging to different charitable foundations. They are built from red brick with fake timber framing in a Tudor Revival style with turrets and an imposing tower.
