The Church of Saint Michael, St Michael's Mount, Cornwall

This was originally the priory church. It later became a parish church and is now a chapel. It was built for Bernard of Le Bec in around 1135. He was abbot of Mont St Michel in France. The church was mostly rebuilt in the 14th century following damage by an earthquake in 1275. The monastery was dissolved in 1414 along with other 'alien priories' that were cells of French abbeys. The building was restored by Piers St Aubyn in the late 19th century. The St Aubyn family owned the Mount from 1660.
