The Old Crown Inn, 186-188 High Street, Deritend, Birmingham, West Midlands
A view across the High Street looking towards the Old Crown Public House with the viaduct carrying the Birmingham and Oxford Junction railway over Heath Mill Lane (partially visible to the left of the image). It is the last timber-framed building remaining in the city centre and was claimed to have been built in 1368. However, recent opinion suggests an early 16th century date as this matches its type of roof which typically dates to around 1500-1550.
