Description

Eaton Hall was rebuilt in the Gothic style in the early 19th century by William Porden for Richard Grosvenor, later the 1st Marquess of Westminster. During this time, the hall was also known as Porden Hall. In the early 1870s the house was rebuilt for Hugh Lupus Grosvenor, the 3rd Marquess of Westminster. This photograph therefore dates from before 1870.
