Description

The Minories car park is a multi-storey car park of brutalist design, located opposite the Tower of London and next to the Royal Mint. The contract was awarded to Laing by the City of London Corporation, and also included an adjacent City Engineer's depot with workshops, a canteen and offices. Minories car park was officially opened by the Lord Mayor of London, Sir Ian Bowater, on 26th January 1970.

This image was catalogued as part of the Breaking New Ground Project in partnership with the John Laing Charitable Trust in 2019-20.
